The next time you are tempted to be critical of someone, pause for a moment and think of your own shortcomings and your own lack of perfection. Be kind, for we all have our moments when we could have done better, but came up short. To choose otherwise is to place an enormous amount of pressure on yourself to never make a mistake and to be perfect. Living this way leads to anxiety, stress, and general unhappiness. Cut others, and yourself, a break.
